Safari Overview

Samburu’s conservancy is known for its unique and rare species of Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, and Elephant, Lion, and Cheetah. This diverse and beautiful conservancy also serves as an aviary, housing 350 bird species including the sharp Kingfisher, Sunbird, Bee-eater, Marabou Stork, Bateleur, Palm-nut and devilish Vulture. Mara’s Savannah plains will lure you into thrilling game drives among Africa’s famous five kings of animals, along with its adventurous optional hot air balloon ride. The memorable sunsets will ignite your photography skills and freshen up your mind from haste of town!

Day 1 :

Nairobi – Transfer to Samburu

You will be picked from your Nairobi Hotel for a transfer to the airport for a flight to Samburu. Upon arrival in Samburu, our driver will meet you and transfer you to the lodge/camp for lunch with a game drive en route. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m. Overnight: Samburu Intrepids/Saruni Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2 :

Samburu – Full day

Spend this day with morning and afternoon game drives in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits this land. Overnight: Samburu Intrepids/Saruni Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3 :

Samburu – Transfer to Maasai Mara (By Flight)

After breakfast at the Samburu, you will be transferred to the airstrip for a flight to Mara. You will arrive at Mara and be picked by the camp’s driver and immediately have a short game drive as you head to the camp for lunch. Optional game-drive is at 4p.m. Overnight: Kichwa Tembo/Olare Kempinski Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4 :

Maasai Mara – Full day

Spend these 2 days with game drives in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits these beautiful savannah plains. All meals are taken at the camp. Optional activities: Hot air balloon, a visit to Maasai village, sun downer, bush breakfast & guided nature walks Overnight: Kichwa Tembo/Olare Kempinski Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5 :

Maasai Mara – Full day

Overnight: Kichwa Tembo/Olare Kempinski Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 6 :

Maasai Mara – Transfer to Nairobi (By Flight)

Have breakfast then be transferred to the airstrip for flight to Nairobi. You will arrive at around 12.30p.m. and have lunch at Carnivore Restaurant. Later be transferred to your hotel or airport. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
